Wallets hold stablecoins at Augustus and work like any other account: they carry an account ID, a balance, and support deposits and payouts over blockchain rails.

Set up a wallet

Contact your Augustus account manager to enable wallets for stablecoin flows. Once enabled, find the wallet blockchain, address, and account ID in the Dashboard under Accounts.

Crypto counterparties

A crypto counterparty is an external wallet you own that Augustus verifies. In the 2026-05-01 API, a newly created crypto counterparty starts in pending. Wait for active and check that it is not blocked before sending a payout. Save the destination as a counterparty with financial_address.type: "crypto_wallet", its address, and its blockchain. Confirm the address and blockchain before transferring funds. A deposit from a pending crypto counterparty waits for verification before the remaining deposit checks can continue; transfers on an unsupported chain may be lost. Creating a counterparty does not itself start screening. Contact your Augustus account manager if review is needed. See Counterparty lifecycle for status, blocking and review behavior. For payouts, pass the saved counterparty_id; see Blockchain. If you use the 2023-01-01 API, your settlement wallet is under Account Details > Settlement Destination in the Dashboard.
